Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a revolutionary method of treatment, used for healing physical and emotional problems. It incorporates theories from holistic therapies such as acupressure, acupuncture, energy medicine and neuro-linguistic programming.
Eastern medicine believes that there are channels of energy (meridians) within the body. When these channels are blocked, energy becomes unbalanced, which leads to physical and emotional symptoms.
In a similar way to acupuncture, EFT looks to release blocked energy by stimulating the meridian points. Without the use of needles, this therapy uses the fingertips to stimulate energy points on the body. Tapping on these points, combined with voicing positive affirmations helps to neutralise the emotional block in energy.
EFT is a very effective way of clearing out unwanted feelings, and when they are gone, the limiting beliefs that the client held are released. New, more positive beliefs about themselves can emerge. Learning EFT empowers the client to take charge of handling their emotional state, because they can use the technique any time they want, to get rid of unwanted emotions and again feel calm and well.
